CTV stays the course for new fall season

PopGoesTheNews.com Canada's biggest media company has unveiled its fall schedule, adding four new dramas and three comedies to CTV and CTV Two.

At an upfront presentation today in Toronto, Bell Media will boast that its stable of top-rated hits means it had few holes to fill. Returning shows include the made-in-B.C. series Once Upon a Time as well as Grimm, Whitney and The X Factor.

Shows debuting in the fall on CTV are The Mob Doctor, Anger Management, The New Normal and The Neighbors while CTV Two has added Arrow, Emily Owens, M.D. and Nashville starring Hayden Panetierre. The network has picked up the Kevin Bacon series The Following for mid-season.

Bell Media has also ordered 13 episodes of a homegrown one-hour crime series called Motive, about a female Vancouver homicide detective.

Mondays
CTV has Dancing with the Stars and Castle while CTV Two has The Voice and a repeat of the Toronto-shot Flashpoint (which moves to Thursdays at 10pm on CTV).

Tuesdays
CTV has the Dancing with the Stars results show followed by new series Anger Management and The New Normal and then Criminal Minds. CTV Two offers The Voice, new show Emily Owens, M.D. and The Mentalist.

Wednesdays
It's all about The X Factor and CSI on CTV while at CTV Two you'll find the new series Arrow (starring Canada's Stephen Amell), Law & Order: SVU and Nashville.

Thursdays
CTV brings back Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men and Grey's Anatomy followed by the final season of Flashpoint. CTV Two has The X Factor, The Vampire Diaries and The Mentalist.

Fridays
Returning to CTV are CSI:NY, Grimm and Blue Bloods while CTV Two offers Shark Tank, the made-in-Toronto series Nikita and Dateline.

Saturdays
CTV airs repeats of its hour-long dramas followed by new series The Neighbors and returning comedy Whitney. CTV Two has Canadian series The L.A. Complex and Saving Hope as well as The Borgias.

Sundays
It's a big night for CTV with Once Upon a Time, The Amazing Race, new show The Mob Doctors and then The Mentalist. At CTV Two, you'll see America's Next Top Model, Mike and Molly, Up All Night (with Canada's Will Arnett) and a movie.
