'The Hangover 2' will be set in Miami

PopGoesTheNews.com >> The cast of The Hangover is leaving Las Vegas for the sun and sand of Miami. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis will reprise their roles in the sequel to last summer's smash hit comedy, which starts production in October.

In The Hangover – the top grossing R-rated comedy ever – a group of friends endured a series misadventures following a bachelor party in Sin City. Though director Todd Phillips hasn't confirmed that the sequel will take place in Miami, he admitted to EW that the plot won't be a rehash of the original.

"What people loved about The Hangover was not Las Vegas or the bachelor party but these three characters,” Phillips told the magazine. “I think you can take those characters and put them in other situations, and you don’t need the sell of Vegas and a bachelor party and all that other stuff.”

Miami has hosted a number of films over the years, including Marley & Me, There's Something About Mary and the new Jim Carrey comedy I Love You Phillip Morris.
